Today, Larry Hogan will name the Intercounty Connector highway (ICC) after his Republican colleague — former Governor Bob Ehrlich — without any input from the Maryland General Assembly.
Rather than glorifying living politicians, we should be honoring the legacy of Maryland’s heroes.
With the Trump administration now threatening to backtrack on the Treasury Department’s plan to honor Harriet Tubman, a Marylander, on the $20 bill, we should take this opportunity to bring all Marylanders together and pay tribute to an American hero like her instead.
